Part of my Primitive series, my goal was to get a caveman painting feel to the work.  Of course I had to include one of my favorite subjects, horses.  it was made by coating old torn encylopedia maps with wood glue and then burning the edges while still wet. I painted the canvas first with acrylic paint, then collaged on the map pieces. I painted a rough horse then used charcoal to draw in the contour linearound it and on the painted sun. Next, I sprayed over the charcoal with thin coat of clear coat. After it dried I varnished the artwork.

The finished piece is on 18 x 18" gallery wrapped canvas and bears my signature.

It comes unframed.
